About Iqrai

Welcome to Iqrai — an online Qur’an learning platform created exclusively for sisters, dedicated to helping you learn the Qur’an with clarity, confidence, and precision.
The name Iqra'i is inspired by the very first revelation sent to our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — Iqra' (Read):
"Read, ˹O Prophet,˺ in the Name of your Lord Who created — created humans from a clinging clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, Who taught by the pen — taught mankind that which they knew not." — Qur’an 96:1–5
At Iqrai, we believe learning the Qur’an should be accessible, supportive, and affordable for every sister. Islam has elevated the status of women, describing us as the backbone of the Ummah, the central support of the community. Yet many sisters — mothers, daughters, sisters, aunties — struggle to read the Qur’an correctly or have never had the opportunity to learn. We are here to bridge that gap.
The greatest gift we can nurture within ourselves, our children, and our communities is the Words of Allah. By strengthening your own relationship with the Qur’an, you empower those around you to do the same. At Iqrai, we focus on you — so you can confidently focus on those you are responsible for. We teach you, so that you can teach yours.
Our mission is to be among the best of people — and to invite you to walk that path with us.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"The best among you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it." — Sahih al-Bukhari

A Note from the Founder
Iqra’i was born from my own struggle with the Qur’an.
For many years, I struggled — stuttering through verses, feeling as though there was a great barrier between myself and the Words of Allah. At times, I was not patient. At times, I let go. But I always returned, determined that one day I would be turning the pages of the Qur’an with confidence.
During that journey, I made a duʿāʾ that felt unrealistic at the time:
“O Allah, make me among the best of people — those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
Yet I reminded myself of Who I was asking.
It did not happen overnight. Slowly, gently, and through a mercy I did not deserve, Allah taught me His Book — and I am still at the very beginning of that journey.
Iqra’i is the fruit of that struggle — a mercy and a gift from Allah. It exists to remind every sister that your struggle today can become your strength tomorrow. Allah sees every effort, every return, every sincere attempt. And before you realise it, He may place you in a position you never imagined — even teaching others.
I share this not to speak about myself, but to tell you:
do not give up on the Qur’an.
Iqra’i is my legacy, In Shaa Allah — and I do not wish to keep it to myself.
I am, first and foremost, a student of the Qur’an, and I am also a qualified Qaaidah Nooraniyyah and Tajweed instructor, committed to helping sisters learn the Qur’an with clarity, confidence, and mercy.
Your sister,
Raabi'ah
